Hi! has anyone ever had a problem with their car only going into reverse, 2nd, and 4th gears? If so what was wrong with it. Was it a bushing that was gone or what?

you have a 79 924 NA, so you probably have the snailshell I would have to say it is probably the cup on the back end of the torque tube, I recommend a good time to drop the tranny replace this cup, and also replace the bushings on the end of the main shift rod in the knuckle that attaches to the tranny,
