Heya folks.
First the disclaimer: I have no affiliation, yadda...
Has anyone else tried Maguier's new Tech Wax? I saw an advert on speed channel during one of those classic car shows and decided to go try the stuff.

I DK what this stuff is but the closest I've ever come to a shine like this is Mother's California Glaze, which I have not been able to find of late, and it was not nearly as good as this stuff. Alone, the resuts are very good, significantly brightening the paint (white) and removing fine scratches all on its own. Used along with a little 3M fine cut compund prep, it took out most of the hairlines in the paint (been trying to get rid of them for months with other products) and added depth I didn't think was possible on a white car.
I liked it so much I used it on my Maxima and it did the same thing, except moreso because it is a deep metallic green.
It is a relatively thin liquid, very easy to apply, goes on clear (no white residue!!), "cures" in 15 min. Then you wipe off (wipe!), no rubbing, no buffing, and as Emeril might say, "BANG!", incredible finish.
Sorry for the testimonial rant. I just thought it was nice stuff. Never used anything like it before. Cheap too (like $9 at Pep Boys with sponge applicator in the box).
Could there be a downside to this? Almost too good to be true... |

Well thanks for the write up. I look for it. I have a full bottle of turtle wax, that I may use on the Grand Am, just to see how well it works.
ADDITIONAL Question:
Is there a different paint used on fiberglass, than steel? Could I use any wax on fiberglass?
Thanks. |

Fiberglass doesn't matter. In this case it is automotove paint over glass anyway. But if it was gelcoat (rather than paint, like on a boat or jetski), I don't think there would be any adverse effects.
There are some cautions on the label that say don't use it on a couple of things..., cloth, rubber parts, matte plastic mebbe, can't remember... |

I'll check with a friend of mine I guess. I'll get him to look at it.
Thanks. |
