Hey,
Both of my front fenders are now blistering with rust and the passanger's is begining to rust through the paint where it was patched before my paint job 2 years ago. I was expecting this to be a problem and now it is. I'm planning on replacing the front end with a 944 Turbo front fenders and front bumper cover.
Is it possible to convert a 924 front end to a later 944 turbo? I can get a 944 Turbo front bumper cover/nose from a supplier, but will it bolt up and where? Is there an actual bumper under the "cover" peice or is it just the cover piece and it simply bolts to the fenders? I always thought it fit flush but from the picture i'm looking at now it seems to fit over the bumper after the black pads are removed.
I have 4 weeks to get this project done Anyone have any ideas? _________________ 79 Porsche 924 2.0L 5-Speed Flowmaster 40 |

Make sure the headlight covers come from the car also. YOur current ones will not fit. Use 944 NA fender and lower valance and then you can use the stock covers. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

I'm planning on replacing the front fenders and front valance (bumpercover) with 944 turbo body panels. So the 924 headlight covers should fit considering everything i've read for the past 3 years has said that parts between the 924's and 944's as far as the body panels go are simple bolt ons. If not then that presents another big problem...
I thought of something else last night and that's my current rims/tires are going to be inset compared to the 944 fenders... which will look retarded. So i'd be looking at getting new rims and tires as well correct?
I still need to know how the bumper cover fits on? _________________ 79 Porsche 924 2.0L 5-Speed Flowmaster 40 |

944 turbo parts fit except for the headlight covers. Get them when you buy the nose. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Aegean, that link i posted they have a straight replacement for a 944 n/a front with 944 turbo 'look' front. it fits the 944 n/a's guards and headlight covers, etc without having to swap all the rest _________________ '86 944 |
