Yes. It is an alternative, but not a real good one. I have one and it works but the tension settings are at the extreme end of the guage. The wrenches look pretty poor. I made the skinny wrench for holding the excentric and had a cheap adjustable pin wrench from Harbor freight that work great. For the tension guage I recomend the optibelt tool.

It costs more but is only around $50 or so. The Krikit can be ordered through Nappa for about $10.

so it can be done with these kinds of tools???, because when I went to a mechanic I think I either made his day or scared him, but he kept saying 'expensive' with a strange look on his face and this was a guy that specializes in Mercedes and BMWs _________________ 1987 924S Guards Red

Well I did it on mine about a year ago and it is still running strong. That dosn't mean it can be done though I guess I do a lot of things people say can't be done  _________________ Glenn Neff
