Hi guys can anyone give me the toe in/out spec for the front of my 81 931
as I have just changed the right hand tierod cup and ball. I intend takeing it to the shop to get it done correctly (I hope) but just want to set it up close for now so I can drive it in there. Also the book says to set the rack at center (with lock pin ) then set gap from shoulder of cup stop ring to housing at 65mm +/- .5mm If I do this the cup is only on by about four threads.... hope someone can enlighten me ..

I hope this helps.

The right side cup is measured to inside the steering arm-or to the point the stop ring will actually stop. I hope that makes sense- I did the same thing originally.

If you want to give it a shot yourself, use the fishing line method for toe.

The front tires are 3/4 wider in tracking on each side, so your fishing line will be 3/4 further from the back rim on each side.
The toe in- front 1/32 to 1/8- -------the back to 0
I was told to set the front camber to -1 --------the back to -1.5
I'm not racing ---just going to work.
