I'm posting this for a friend...

I want to buy a 924. The mechanical is excelent the car runs perfectly...the compression is equal in all 4 cylinders(11) the car dosent appear to have had any accidents. It has a CD player...speakers and a woofer. I drove it and honestly i can feel its an old car(i've been driving a Mercedes C220 Kompresor lately) but still ferm and powerfull. I can tell you that the feeling between these two cars is similar with the exception that the Mercedes makes no noise The paint is flawless it has no scratches no rust on the exterior. I havent mounted it on an elevator to see if there is any rust on the her belly but what i have seen is that the car has been hitted to the ground a few times pretty hard because i could see some deformations to the....umm how do you call that...uff...the car seems lowered down a bit to me...i'll just post some links with pictures.
I drove it around a little bit and it the steering is not damaged..it works perfectly...the only thing i noticed(apart the noise , see the exhaust) something i think is caused by the rubber things that hold the engine.
What i'm asking is if its worth to buy, the price is 4000 EURO.
I have to mention that i live in Romania and here you cannot legaly register a car that is not equipped with a Euro 3 catalysator.

here are the links:

I did not look at the pictures and I have no idea what the car should be worth over there. But here is a decent site for pre-purchase inspection.

Good luck

You don't mention the year, but it looks pretty solid. I'd be worried if it has actually hit the bottom about the frame rails. Get an honest mechanic to put it on a lift and give it the once over. As a reference, check for similar cars around Europe. I'm not sure prices here would do you any good.

Good luck
