When I purchased my car, it was very clean.
Other than carpet fade, a few small cracks in the dash & some loose stitches in the drivers seat, sweet!
The PO's wife told me that there was another manual to go along with it, but couldn't find it.
So, all I had was the owners manual from an 82 & really never thought much of it.
Today, however I finally give her a "good" interior cleaning & find the lost warranty & maintance manual, for an 82 under the passenger seat!
Vin # matches, so it looks like my old girl isn't as old as I thought!!
Has this ever happened to anyone else & suggestions as far as correcting the title??

What is the VIN number from the windshield?

The model year of the car is part of the VIN number.

The "C" followed by the "N" in the VIN number says that your car is an 82 model year car (starting with 1980 model year, the letter was "A", 81 was "B", 82 was "C", etc....

If you want to correct the "pink" slip, you will have to take the car to your local DMV for a visual inspection by a DMV employee to verify the VIN number.

My ex hasn't sapped my that bad!
Yet... :roll

Also, would it be best to leave it as an 80 on the title, that way it becomes a classic two years sooner!???
