Ever get bits and pieces of a memory in your head and it's driving you nuts trying to put it together??? Silly, but annoying at the same time.
Back in the eighties there was this TV show on about this guy who had some wierd blue-electrical suit that he had to wear under his clothes and he carried around this little blue ball of electricity that flew around obeying his commands and had the ability to create a super-car and a helicopter out of thin air by tracing the outline in the air.... Whew!
Ring any bells??? What was the show and who was the actor??? This is driving me nuts! _________________ 1987 924S - Was a daily driver...now it's GONE! *sniff*

It sounds like Automan and his little cursor.
It only aired once on swedish television around here, and I missed the final show...

I was working the evening shift at the time (12/83 - 4/84) and missed the whole series. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Yep! Automan, that's the one! lol Holy Cow! What the heck made me think of that?! All I kept having was flashes of the guy doing his best John Travolta in a white suit. After checking the home page of Chuck Wagner and following a few links, I found some vid-captures that brought the whole thing back....
Hey, it looks cheesy now, but it was pretty high-tech in '83!!! When my grandkids are watching holographic, interactive movies they'll think that the new Star Wars movies were pretty cheesy....
Oh, wait....I think that already.... _________________ 1987 924S - Was a daily driver...now it's GONE! *sniff*

Don't get me wrong - those were sarcastic alligator tears coming from those sad smilies. In reality I only turn on the tv on special occasions including educational stuff and shows that can't be missed for other reasons. Now if you'll excuse me, the commercial's over and I have to get back to the current episode of She Spies. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Automan, damn I remember that! Anyone remember another show from the same time period - "Manimal" with the guy who could transform himself into various animals? _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a

There's a car museum a couple of hours drive from me on the west coast here in the UK (do a search for "cars of the stars" in Keswick, UK).. they've got one of the surviving General Lee's along with the Mad Max Interceptor, original Batmobile and a load of other stuff.. Bond cars etc. We popped over there last year, not a very big place but there's some v.cool cars. Only downer is it's so small they keep rotating what cars are on show so you never get to see them all on one visit.
edit - site name was pretty obvious! - http://www.carsofthestars.com/ _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a
