Since most of the interior and electrical system is a mess in my car and none of the gauges works except the speedometer. I'm going to buy new vdo meters for the temp and fuel (the round ones 52mm).

The fuel meter I'm thinking of is made for a sender that operates between 10-180 ohms (empty to full). Does anyone know what the resistance is in the stock sender? I really dont want to buy that sender from vdo since it's about 1200 sek (about 150$ I think) here in sweden.

If I just knew the values it shouldnt be that hard to change it with a few resistors and some time.

Are the gauges a mess or just the wiring? If you can detail the problem, someone might be able to help you straighten it out.

The gauges are easily accessible and with a Haynes you should be able to fix the needed wires for the fuel and temp senders. Since you'll have to run new wiring for the new gauges, why not run it for the old stock ones.

The reason why I want to use other gauges is that the glass in front of the old ones is cracked and scrached, besids that the mouning bracket (not sure what the proper name is for that) is in 2 pieces so I thought about using just the speedometer and tachometer where they are and put vdo gauges for the rest in the consoll.

The car isn't drivable yet and I won't drive it untill next summer so I have the time.

Does anyone where I could find a dashboard in fiberglass? I saw it somewhere on the web a while ago but I can't find it anymore.

If you need a different fuel/temp, let me know. I've got a couple used ones here that are in very good shape you can have one for the price of shipping.
