So naturally while the kids were still at school we went out for some good blasts around.. Not a single problem, hic or splutter from the 924 Covered all my favourite roads in the area - up the coastal routes, through all the border hills with their manic twists and turns.. sheer bliss..

After spending all my time beforehand in the daily commuter it was weird getting back into the 924 at first - i bought a newer car for the commute and it is a real couch on wheels with all it's gadgets, plastic, high ride position and power everything.. Still, it only took me all of one corner to get that insane grin on my face - never known another car put a stupid expression on a person the way a 924 does, every other owner i see has the same look when they're driving these things!

Roll on my next day off....

I try to use my car as a daily driver (around the troubles i've had of late) and so most of the time I spend in it is spent going in straight lines trying to get past someone, or sitting at lights..
so, I installed a good stereo. it keeps me amused while i'm stuck behind things, but as soon as the road in front of me is clear, you could play recordings of babies crying and I wouldn't notice!
i'm too busy with "I can't believe the car just sticks to the road around bends like that" or "yup, 2800RPM is still where the turbo kicks in" or "wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

this much fun can't be legal...
