Can anyone tell me- for sure- if the G31 and the G31 w/LSD option have interchangeable innards? Are the actual gears and syncros etc the same?If not what is different.Muchos gracias in advance,Leigh. _________________ 1979 Euro 931, Olive

There is no difference listed in PET for the gear sets, shafts, synchros, ring & pinion gears, etc. All I can see different is the actual differential itself (and it's internals), housed in the rear-most section of the transmission. _________________ '79 Eurospec 931 |

What about the rumours that the differential from a 915 transmission is interchangeable? Guard Transmission offers a good LSD for the 915 for about $1300, and I've heard only good things about them. They provide differentials for some of the top FIA and ALMS GT cars.
Is there any way of finding this out, short of comparing them side by side? _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
