I scored a set of 16" disc wheels, 6X16, (928 look alikes) in a junkyard. The wheel spaces used in the rear just rest on the extended lugs and came right off. The front spacers are fixed and my manual doesn't even mention them. How do I get them off?

There's bolts between the lug bolts.

You're talking five bolt "trashcan lid" wheels, right?

The 924 version is a 16 X 6, but the 928 version is 7s, with more offset.

The 924 version did not use spacers in the front, and with spacers would probably stick out farther than the fenders.

The 928 version, when installed at the front, because of the extra offset might need spacers to clear the springs.

The 928 version fits. It's tight but it fits. Tire specific clearance issues possible and negative camber is limited. Street settings are fine.
