Use the one that's left! It will be fine.
I just went out to the shop and looked at mine, it appears that it would be a real PITA to replace the bolt. |

| Yes, but most of us have run a ground directly from the battery to the block. If your car doesn't have this, now's the time. Do not try to start the car, if you cannot reconnect the ground at the coil, until you install a new one directly from the battery. |

hey Paul the only thing that was connected to that bolt was i think the silver resistor and of course the coil bracket.
circled in red in photo, can i just make it ground somewhere else?
even on the other side?

Yes, if the wires will reach you could move the resistor to the other side.
You can also mount the resistor anywhere you want, it does not require a ground.
Are you sure there was not a heavy braided ground wire attached to that bolt? |

Paul that braided wire is conected to the oposite side of the one that has snaped. so that large ground wire is still there.
so the silver resistor has only got a mounting bracket connected to it not for grounding then?
thanks Paul _________________ 78 Dark met Green "THE 924" |

| No worries mate, it will be fine, the resistor does not require a ground. |
