Not in Medford Oregon USA but it may perhaps be tough to find in Lebanon. Sorry I don't know what other t-stats fit. My 924S is a strange bird for sure. Double valved and wierd looking. I bought mine at the local foreign parts store.
I am a bunch of help yeah??

All 924s use a double acting thermostat, this one is for a 77 924:

The 924 thermostats have the extra plate at the bottom, and aren't on most other cars. The plate redirects water flow, so it is a "must have" item. Without it, the car's engine won't cool properly. My recommendation: don't substitute. Also, it should be "matched" with the proper temp radiator fan switch, the two work together. There are two different temperature thermostats, and two different fan switches. Check the archives for more info...

I just replaced mine, went to a parts store, they looked it up in the catalog and lifted it off the shelf, so I think it's not that special Porsche-only part.
It costed only some 7 USD.

It looks very similar to the one in the above picture, with the two discs.

I got the box here in front if me.

It's Trupart #234-82, and it goes in a bunch of Audis, VWs, Fords, Seats, etc.

Thanx for all of these replies. Now i know what a thermostat looks like!

I havent looked for a thermostat yet, because when they ask me what kind of car, and say a porsche, people get freaked out or give you a 50% increase in price . So when i purchased the master cylinder i claimed it was a for a VW.
