I just purchased a 944 (sight unseen) that I was going to gut for parts to tidy up my GT and when I got it delievered it looks almost good enough to rebuild. see http://groups.msn.com/924CarreraGTInfoSite/944.msnw?Page=1
I've a spare 924 shell sitting around that I think I'll cut the nose off and put on this thing and then use the 944 as a development mule for my proper race car - ie test my big brakes and a few other things before I put the race car on the track.
Once I've finished playing I'll see if I can sell the 944 motor and gearbox in NZ. If motor of box lunches itself while I'm playing who cares as the whole car delivered to me cost about US $800. and it's got brand new Bridgestone 225x50 x15 tires, almost mint interior and near new adjustable Koni's fitted, plus it will provide the back window I'm mising for my race car. _________________ Remember a Porsche is not just for Christmas,

Nice color.
It looks like he ran into the guy in front.
Good luck with it.
$800.00 Is my lucky number. It was the price of mine :) _________________ 1978 924 95 mile daily driver.

hey John, that 924 shell you have wouldn't happen to have a set of side mirrors that you wouldn't mind parting with?

Nope the car was a ex USA car which had a set of after market mirrors on it - don't think it came out of the US with these as they looked like things we get here on the used jap imports - real cheap and nasty units _________________ Remember a Porsche is not just for Christmas,

Finally brought the 944 home from the painters - got anew nose on it now all I have to do is put the guards (fenders) on and the front spoiler and I'm back terrorising the neighbours in a Porsche.
Also means I can then start back on rebuilding my GT.
Didn't realise how much I missed not driving a Porsche, since crashing the GT in November _________________ Remember a Porsche is not just for Christmas,
