Did you pull the head when installing the intercooler? _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

are you sure it is from the head and not a hose at the back of the engine, or maybe a water connector to the head _________________ 3 928s, |

hey lizard i just pmed you thanks for getting in on this one . im pretty sure its the head not 100% though. its dripping on to my wastegate pipe onto my exhaust my water pump has had a minor leak for awhile now . but its only a few drops not that bad. this other leak seems to be getting worse is there any way the itnercooler could have made the gasket blow?or the head itself? _________________ 80 931 intercooled,1 bar, and kinda runs right |

I have responded, however the IC would not have caused this, and I had stated to either use a dye to try and track the leak or remove everything in the area and pressurize the system while cold to see if you can see it leak, I doubt it would be the headgasket however, more likely to be hoses in the area and when cold they are not sealing properly or a connector on the back of the head _________________ 3 928s, |

There is a check valve that you can mount in-line if you get a pump that does not have it built in. Read the following thread, it has photos and part numbers.
