I stripped the clearcoat off the outer rim of the wheel using Easy Off Oven cleaner. See instructions in the wheel section of this site.
I masked off the chrome outer rim and sanded all the chips off with 600 and then 1500 grit sand paper. Used lacquer thinner on all the black to make sure someone did not spray over the centers with enamel paint. Lacquer paint will peel away the enamel paint in a second. After the cleaning with the lacquer thinner I let it dry for a couple or hours and then sprayed the centers with DupliColor semi-gloss black which cost about $4 a can. The rims look really good. The Duplicolor paint is the exact paint to use. This was a tip from the Paterak Brothers who do a lot of Porsche restorations and frequently written up in Pano. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

| The Paterak brothers are without a doubt the best restorers of Porsche bodies and interiors in the world. Too bad their shop is in NJ. I always attend their tech session at the Porsche Parade. |
