Hey there..
I thought id just let you know about my experience in restoring my dashboard
As most of the porsche dashes crack.. mine felt obliged to...
This is what i did to fix it:
I removed the dash and cut the edges which have lifted from around the cracks.. (some were very deep)
Then i sanded around the cracks and filled it in with some special filler and sanded that smooth.. (if it isnt sanded 100% it will look awefull) to check that it was sanded smooth i sprayed some black vinyl paint onto it to make sure it was all smooth. Then i cleaned the whole dash with a vinyl cleaner and then with a spirit. After this i wiped it down with a lint free cloth and masked off all the holes and sprayed it all black then i let it dry and gave it about 5-6 coated, let it dry for about a day and now it looks new no more nasty cracks. Also before it was the browny color dash. So now i have continued cleaning and spraying all interior parts and it now looks new
Hope this helps u guys

Hi Joe,
IMHO it would look good in black as gold and yellow might just look silly..
We could customize that flame decal for you to the size that you think would look best..
The nice thing about vinyl is it isnt very expensive so if you dont really like it... you can just pull it off..
I had put some flames on the front fender going up over the wheel arche and onto the edge of the hood.. it looked good but i had to remove them as i am doing some body work on my car..
I am sure i could do a good deal for customizing this decal for a fellow 924 owner on this decal
Thanks

Hey spark,
Lets see some pictures of your dash.
What kind of filler?
What about the texture? _________________ 1978 924 95 mile daily driver.

hi audidog
i still havnt got the pictures processed but ill try get them done asap and post some pics
you cannot see the difference in texture.. i took before, in the process and after pics..
ill try get them up this week..
I was just working on my car and had a dash fire about 45mins ago but i managed to remove the battery and put it out before it did too much damage but it looks like i will be replacing alot of wires soon
the idiot who i got the car off left some uncovered live wires poking behind the fusebox and they melted and caught fire...
