Recently subscribed to Auto-Check (like Carfax) Got 3 months unlimited use for $19.95. It is really helpful if one is serious about bidding. Many of these low mileage cars really are not! Recently: a 1987 944 w/126K had 134K in 1994. Today 02/23/04 a 1983 944 w/80K had 133K in 1996. If one is active in the Porsche arena on EBAY this really helps in making a choice!! Dick Price.

Carfax doesn't do our 10 digit VIN's. 
I had my bank run a couple and they didn't turn up any problems. But who knows.  |

Hi RobG: Ran your vin# ... Car was a Taunton, MA car thru 1998 then went to Cumberland, RI. Recorded mileages by DMV: 7/94 - 65,740, 5/97 - 95,227, 2/98 - 98,496. 1/17/97 car was reported theft recovered. Glad to help .. Dick Price.

even though that's not really what I wanted to hear, I really appreciate the help. I shouldn't have been so cheap when I was considering buying the car! Oh well, i'll have to chalk this up to experience. Thanks again!
