Look at this I didnt think of overspray when I
painted the lighter yellow on the sides of my hood.
This stuff is like a fine dust very removable. So
Ill take some time and clean up the whole engine
bay this weekend.

Joe try a Mothers clay bar, many painters use them to remove overspray.
Here's another brand:

I'd be more worried about getting a proper timing belt cover on the engine. _________________ Dan Flanagan--2002 VW Jetta TDI, 83 Mercedes 300D,83 Mercedes Euro-240D |

Good idea Dan!...... a little laquar thinner on a rag and a little elbow grease will take most of that off. _________________ I have a 78 n\a currently under restoration. |

Oh yeah, I think I'm familiar with that stuff. It's the powdery stuff that gets all over the neighbors' cars when you spray yours outside on the driveway, right? _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Today I took top off set it aside and went for a drive
In the am well by 10 I was on the road. till 12.
Its a fun car to drive. I dont need a timing guard
what I need is the belly pan on though.
I had a rock hit up under the hood before
dented the hood..I think it was kicked up from not using
the belly pan then maybe got caught up in the belt. The latter
of that scenario is douteful.. I dont need a timing belt cover.
What for. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Joe topless, Sitting on those damned yellow plastic seats, thinking about a pan to hold up his belly. |
