Does anyone know of any uk suppliers for these?
Have only found one exhaust system supplier, haven't heard of them, and its £425(not even clear if that includes the header!) |

MSDS supplies headers for the 924, and they *may* carry lightweight flywheels, although it looks like someone here might be thinking of starting a run of lightweight flywheels here _________________ 3 928s, |

The exhaust header will do nothing much on its own, I have tried it!
You will also need to use a cam and do a bit of work on the head then the exhaust adds power.
The very light alloy flywheels are great but you can take a good amount of meat off a standard flywheel, so much so you can really feel the difference.
Any good engineering shop will be able to do that.
There is also an exhaust manufacturer in Macclesfiled that may be able to put together a complete system for you. I think they are called tube torque.
Cheers

Shipping from the states on a flywheel should be just above $50 for casual shipping.
You can shave a lot of weight- and I am very satisfied with that-- but WHOA the difference by going to an aluminum is awesome!
I finally noted a problem with aluminum flywheels this past week. It's well below zero (Currently -16 F and Feels like -33 F) so when you downshift and punch the Scatty (my Saturn) the clutch slips quiet well. Reason for this is aluminum dissipates heat so well that the flywheel never warms up. Nothing to worry about if you never punch your car down when it's crazy go nuts cold outside though _________________ Classic British Sports Car Restoration v6 + v8 Engine Conversion Swaps

If shipping is only $50 for the flywheel.
I presume a header and flywheel will be around $100, which could be worth spending as NO ONE seems to sell any decent 924 performance products in the uk, no one, why is that? There are loads about?
Plenty of mat sets, door handles, mundane parts, but ask for performance parts...slight pause...then a chuckle....then ...mmmmmm no! |

Applebit,
your aluminum flywheel does it a friction surface (steel plate) attached to it or is it just straight aluminum? _________________ 3 928s, |
