With all that work why not just get a 928 and paint it yellow? Add a ridiculous wing, hood scoop and save yourself the hassle of loads of fabrication?

They're all over eBay. They came on Corvettes, Camaros, Firebirds, and Vipers.

well by that i take it you dont like the car, which is fair enough, its not everyones choice,if i wanted a boring 928 which anyone could buy i would have bought one,the 924 shape is leagues better looking than a 928,the riddiculous wing as you say acts as a purpose on the track helping keep the rear wheels on the tarmac..have some imagination please..

I think the wing is a bit of overkill, especially for drag racing, but there's nothing wrong with that. The body and paintwork look impeccably done. Should be a heck of a fun car when it gets finished. Personally, I don't like yellow cars, but it looks like a lot of nice things have been done. Why bother with the 6spd if it's mostly a drag car, though?

It isn't that I don't like the car. True the wing isn't my favorite, and frankly won't do a whole lot for drag racing but that isn't my point. The body is really nice, good work! I just don't see the point of spending all the time on the 924, I would PERSONALLY just get a 928 and do forced induction (951 pistons) if I wanted a dragster. In your case start with a 928 add nitrous and you would be better of in the end anyway more power etc.

I have imagination. A twin turbo 928 S4. Could make a good dragster but at the same time hold it's own on the track. Which this car cannot. I am not a fan of German dragsters or engine swaps for that matter.

yeah, that old saying about opinions really is true.

As for the spoiler, some of the guys probably prefer something more traditional:

Depends if you are trying for the sleeper look or not.........I refuse to hide in the "closet" I am going to be showing my air cleaner proudly. Besides......have you heard a V8 run lately....doesn't sound like a 4 banger.
