Hello,
Anyone any idea how to get the side decals off without damaging the painwork on a 1982 924. I think the decals are original,i just dont like them. I prefer the understated look. Someone suggested using an Hair-dryer,although i have'nt tried this method.Once taken off would they leave traces ? Any Suggestions !!!!

I replaced the pinstripe decals on the side of my car. I got the old ones off with a hair dryer, then cleaned up the residue. The paint was darker where the decal was. I'd guess that would have been permanent, but I was replacing the old with new, so in my case it didn't matter. So, depending on your paint color, you could be left with a mark. Mine's "Lhasa Green Metallic" (a dark green). _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."
