xpernet: good luck with it!
that seems to be the age that girls are most likely to openly admit they like "clothes, guys and fast cars".. I am familiar with internet personals (met my g/f on one actually) and the 18 y.o. women seem to be very into guys with fast cars!

Too dayum funny!

I go by the old racing adage, if it has a skirt or wheels you can't afford it! I like my cars like my women, fast, curvy, and fun on deserted back roads! (or was that women like coffee - hot, sweet, and dark?)

Xpernet: why are you waiting? What happens when you turn 18?

I do still agree; though my wife love my toys, she loves me because I race, not because I race a Porsche. If you find a woman who's interested in you because you have a Porsche - run away, because there's always a faster/more expensive one down the street! And for those with wives who take umbrage at time spent playing with the cars, perhaps asking if they would prefer you spent your spare time out of sight, at the bar, with your buddies, ogling strange women would bring things back into perspective. Best of luck!

My ex sure seems to think so!
Kind of took the wind out of her sails when I finally broke down & told her what I paid.
However, owning the only 924 out of the few Porsche's in a very small town, I get looks from all.
Remind me to tell you about the WCU Cheerleader car wash
sometime, you can bet I'll have the digital camera with me for the next one!!!!

wait... you actually took your car to one of those fund raiser things where the people drop the sponges on the ground and then keep right on washing your car?

OUCH!

Now I would not have to much of an issue taking my 1980 there since the paint looks like primer on most of it... but not any car that has decent paint on it...... even for a good show

I actually recall a time when I was driving my Mother to a store to get some milk. This was when I was 17. (long time ago) When I got out there was a girl about my same age that said "Nice car".

People do not understand how inexpensive these cars are. Like many have said... when they see or hear Porsche and see one in decent condition they assume it cost a lot.

Ah lets keep the secret!

More for us!

Eric

What happens when i turn 18....

Ill get my drivers license, get taller, graduate from school....

Well, i can drive any AUTOMATIC car, but it seems dangerous though, but our cops in lebanon are sleeping. I drove my dad's Plymouth Grand Voyager, and my mom's Hyundai Sonata, ofcourse accopmanied with my dad, but unfortunately, no one has seen me but i haven't driven the porsche. Ill "test drive" it with dad, as soon i get my Brevet Official Exams results. I hope that i pass.

I once put on a carwash for a local charity As the kids were washing it, a friend of mine pulled in and waved me over. I walked over, and he said "You look like a perv, staring at those girls".
I walked over to the car, sprayed it down as fast as I could, and left.

Yes I did, paint looks much better in pics than real life.
Not just "people", CHEERLEADERS!!
Toward the end most had shucked down to bikini tops & a couple were actually using their tank tops to wash the car.
Just doing my civic duty!

You're probably right about the "skanks"!
But just goes to show, most only see PORSCHE.
