hey everyone its the new guy again, my new 924 idles perfectly now that ive got it running again but when i press down on the throttle to give her a little gas, she wants to choke out and stall.

I havnt looked at her since then, but a friend of mine seems to think that its the EGR Valve (dealer = 330 USD) and my father says its the vaccum advance off the distributor (dealer = 200 USD).

I dont know if those are it, is there any way to tell without buying these parts, are there smaller more inexpensive things i can work on first and work my way up? (I dont think anything is wrong with the fuel i get a lot of it)

I believe the EGR setup will just leak exhaust if it's bad. Look around it and the lines to it for leaks.

The vacuum advance very rarely goes bad- in fact, I've never heard of one going bad.

Sounds like a simple vacuum leak to me.

Yeah, very likely vacuum leak, and if not, then look at possible fuel mixture out of adjustment (but fix the vacuum leaks first, as they will cause the mixture to be off).

rihgt i was sort of thinking about the mixture too but would it idle so well if the fuel mixture was off so much as to make it stall out?
