Were any carbruated or were they all that damn injection sustem.

Other questions. These injection system seem alot like the Benz. Can you trasplant any parts. Are the adjustable in any way.

Can they be converted to carbs. Ive had with my S and want down size a bit.

all 924/924S/944/968 were a form of fuel injection, none came from the factory with carbs, yes you can convert if your heart is set on it though

what year is your car and model?

only D production race cars had carbs, but this type would probably be overkill on a street car unless your using engine management and are leaving yourself some room for further modifications to the engine such as a stroker kit and higher compression pistons for example...leadfoot

Actually, the CIS system that your 924 has was one of the most dependable and simple fuel injection systems ever designed. The problems usually arise from previous owners (or present owners) who want to jump in and start adjusting things before they have properly diagnosed the problem. Most of the problems can be traced to rubber parts that have given up, causing vacuum leaks. And once you start adjusting to compensate for the vacuum leak, you will play hell getting everything back to specs.

Well im looking at getting rid of 924S and getting a regular one. But i would like some speed out of it. That means upgrading is important. Now i know the CIS is reliable but i need to be able to adjust and upgrade it if neccasy prefferably without alot hassel. I like to go to the track every now then and blast through curves so i would like some additional HP. I like my S but maintanance is just to much. Its fun but it seems like everytime i drive it im bringing it closer and closer to death and the recent events with it just made my notion of going to regular 924 seem alot better than before.
