| Why can't you drill a new dowel hole in the end of the crank and make a new timing mark, say 180 from the other one. Use lock-tite blue on the main bolt. |

Actually the thought had crossed my mind. I was a bit concerned on the clocking, (critical)...

...another thought/question... Is there a balance issue if I rotate the pulley 180 degs? Should I drill new holes 180 degrees off on both parts?
