I got a Cleveland 460 Launcher and a new 18 volt drill (drill, corner sander and flashlight) set to replace the one I dropped off of the ladder hanging xmas lights. Also there was a 17MM Chraftman racheting wrench to go with my set that didn't include a 17MM in my stocking. Other than that, a bunch of stuff to eat. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

I picked this up on the 16th of Dec as an early Christmas present to myself in place of my just sold SE. I don't have any pics of it yet so I borrowed one of the gallery shots of another person's. Mine is identical.

For Boxing Day, I made my wife roast beast, yorkshire pudding, roast veggies, et al... gotta work on my gravy technique, though... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Vaughn
I cooked X-mas diner for the parents and grandparents, sister and brother in laws, extended family etc.
Roast beef so tender and juicy, ten hour slow cook with onions, and special blend of spices, brazed the meat in oil and butter before stweing, three large junks of 4 inch thick 10 inch long beef cut into halves so it would fit in the crock pot. It fell apart in your mouth.
The juices were so good I ate everything with gravy. In fact I would drink it like coffee it was so good.
Keep the broth boiling when you thicken it, i use corn starch mixed with milk. Add more pepper and salt as the starch lightens the flavor .
Oh yeah I boiled the baby carrots in it.
I like my mash potatoes to be straight except for butter. So I didn't boil them in pot with the beef. Of course I slother the mashers with gravy in the end.
Green beans with a good slab of smoked bacon .
Fresh split top rolls.
Broccoli and rice casserol.
The mother in law made bread stuffing the day before.
I'm getting hungry again.
On to the toys
I got the family a DVD player for the bedroom.
I yard trailer to pull the kids around in.
The wife got a slew of girly movies on DVD and new tires and rims for her SUV.
I bought a 160 gig HD for my mac at best buy. Thanks Santa
I got a lava lamp for the bedroom and a blue wave machine for the office. Mag lite AA flashlight.
I bunch of little things here and there. _________________ Bob Dodd - 924turbo@cox.net

I agree with everything there except the part about dark women, I'm so pale it would be too sharp of a contrast. My coffee is so strong it gave me an ulcer. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

All I've gotten was the flu (in bed since Monday) and a patch of ice on the way to the airport Thursday morning. With a little luck I only destroyed two tires when I slid over an 8" divider curb on the off-ramp. Without luck I'm doing spindles and hubs in the TDI. Of course, tires and bearings were just done in November. Chewed the snot out of the rims, but they don't appear to be bent.
Some weeks.... |
