924 and 924turbo crankshafts: they are the same, right?

I have read it somewhere that 924 and 931 share the same forged crankshaft, is that true? Can I use the one from the VW/Audi engine with the same bottom end? And, where can I buy one online? Thanks!

Yes, the entire lower end is the same, but the pistons are different.

I think the pre '77.5 cars had smaller main bearings. other than that, I believe they are all identical.

its possible that parts from the following cars will also fit , but it has yet to be confirmed , they may also be cheaper .

AMC *concord 78-79 4 -121
*gremlin 77-78 4-121
*spirit 79 4-121
