Almost ready to fire up my engine after a rebuild and a thought just struck me.

I re-used my pistons and didn't rebore my cylinders (they were perfect), but I did put on new rings. My old cylinders all measured at 86.4mm (stock specification, I believe), but the rings (Deves) are 86.5mm. Is this just a rounding difference, or am I going to have to tear this thing back apart and bore out the cylinders by 0.1mm?

Where in the bore did you measure? At the top? Are you aware they are tapered? Do you have the specs for the taper?

I bet you're fine... just run the cheapest 30wt oil for the first change to break the rings in quickly, then switch to a good synth like Mobil 1, and you'll be fine... on my second (race) season on just such a re-ring, and no engine problems yet in spite of elevated temps, ran out of oil once, etc... just need more power! LOL
