I got my intercooler pipes for my 931 finished and polished up this weekend, and I got the pictures posted to my website today. Check 'em out, tell me what you think.
http://www.alexroy.net/931home.html
I don't have the actual intercooler mounted yet, I'm waiting until I get my CGT front valance (still have to save up to order that piece) to mount the intercooler, but the pipes are done, so it should be a snap once I get the valance. I installed the pipes for test fitting, that is what the pictures are of. I'll take more pics once I have the intercooler install final. |

Good job, nice work! So, no hood clearance issues running the supply side over top of the fuel distributor? _________________ Vaughan Scott

The pipes look really good. I didn't think there was enough room to run a hard pipe over the fuel distributor. Did you bend the fuel lines to accommodate it? Are you going to use the same starion core?
Also your interior looks good. |

damn Alex it is looking good,
as for the speaker set up good choice Blaupunkt german technology, as for the subs I would definatly go with the Blaupunkt as I already have one blaupunkt Overdrive 12" and it pounds, the one thing is though is it needs a fairly specific air space (according to the sound place I got it from), I would say go with 10 12" in a sealed box, but 2 10" would sound nice too, they are very tight subs too, with excelent sound quality _________________ 3 928s, |

Alex, you should contact Jason at Paragon, see if he'd be interested in putting those into production. The best thing of all is that they do not require substantial relocating of much (that I can see?) underhood. _________________ Vaughan Scott

there were DEFINITELY clearance issues going over the top of the fuel dist. I had to modify the fuel dist. bracket (hammer time) to let the dist. mount about 3/4" lower than normal, I also had to squash and grind the hard pipe over the top of the dist (but I squashed it as little as possible, no more than the output pipe is squashed in an oval shape).
I did have to shorten the fuel line mounts so they would run as low as possible, so yes, I did have to slightly re-bend the fuel lines.

How do you have your sub fitted in your car? I was planning on making a half circle box that would fit perfectly in the spare tire well so it could be covered by the rear carpet so it could be as stealth as possible. When I measured it, there was plenty of space for 2 10" drivers, but I think that 12" was too big to mount flush with the top, but maybe if I angle the top.....hmmm. I think I need to go back out with my tape measure again...... |

I have a truck box laying on its back with the sub mounted in it and it sits low enough that I can just pull the cargo cover (or whatever you want to call) over the sub and it is invisible short of a small dent, I have the spare tire in my car which I am thinking of pulling out and moving the sub because right now I have the sub sitting up against the back seat, and right now I am living in a place with a garage with an alarm on the door, and if I spend the night at someone elses house I just pull the cover over and outta sight outa mind _________________ 3 928s, |

Real nice. There's some serious tinkering going on there in the Roy garage! _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Lizard, I'll have to send a pic or two sometime of the sub setup I have in my turbo, in the tire well - 1 10" sub. Very nice, and unnoticeable. _________________ Vaughan Scott

| Vaughan.........I'd like to see a picture of that too, it sounds like a similar setup to what I am planning. |

I would put it in the spare tire spot but I don't know if 2 12"'s will fit in there and then i don't know where I would put my jumper cables (I don't have wimpy ones for a reason) _________________ 3 928s, |

| put 'em in the side pockets, right behind the rear tire wells. That is where I keep my jumpers, a couple quarts of oil, a jug of water, and my CD changer. |

I have only the one 10" - I think it's a JBL, can't quite remember. No, the amp is a JBL - mounted in the right rear well. Maybe an Infinity?
Maybe I'll have to go look at it again sometime. All I can say is that I am by no stretch of the imagination bass-poor!!! _________________ Vaughan Scott

alex, i just want to commend you as well for such nice work. judging from those pipes, i'd bet the intercooler installation will be quite a nice little mod as well. can't wait to see how everything works out. _________________ ljamesdickinson@yahoo.com
