Flywheel installed in wrong position, how hard to change?

I have a 1979 Porsche 924 2.0 NA. A while ago, a mechanic replaced the clutch and release bearing, and it looks like the flywheel was reinstalled in the wrong position.

I’ve confirmed true TDC manually, and the original flywheel timing marks are not aligned anymore. They seem to be offset, probably by two bolt positions, by my account. I’ve made new reference marks for now, so I can still set ignition timing, but obviously, I’d like to correct it properly at some point, and those marks are not 100% precise.

My question is: how involved is it to access the flywheel and rotate it back to the correct position on a 924? Is this basically a full clutch/torque tube job again, or is there any more reasonable way to do it?

I’m working DIY on jack stands, no lift, so I’m trying to understand whether this is something worth tackling now or better left until the next clutch/gearbox-related job.

Thanks!

Yes, you'll need to remove the clutch - so full trans/torque tube and all removal.

Doesn't seem worth the trouble, as annoying as it is to have something incorrect like that.

It 100% can be done on jackstands, I've done it many times and am doing it again now (today!) in the process of helping another 924 owner locally sort out clutch problems - on jackstands. Just a bit more of a challenge for access, less room to swing the big wrenches.

I suppose the other alternative is to pull the motor and rebuild or similar, you'd have just as good access then!! Otherwise, yeah I'd leave it.

Appreciate it! My biggest concern is setting the timing right, as even though I've measured things like ten times, it's never gonna be as precise as the marks on the flying wheel.

Good luck today! I'm sure someone is gonna be really grateful for
Your help!
