|
|
Hey, I've had the interior taken apart for quite some time, and I'm finishing getting it back together. But I'm noticing a problem with the steering wheel. When I tighten down the main nut on the spindle, it's so tight that the steering wheel has no play, and runs into the stalks shroud. I think I might be missing a piece here.
It goes:
- stalks w/ shroud
- wheel
- nut
am I missing a spacer or washer? I feel like I have the stalks and shroud seated in there as far as it will go, and I have the allen bolt/lock in there nice. Is there a specific torque for the wheel nut to have it NOT have excess play, yet not be so tight it prevents the wheel from turning? _________________ PARTSTASH: www.partstash.com

You're probably missing the spacer sleeve, google part no. 171419549 for pictures.
See PET section 403-05 for details.
Good luck,
