You need the common VW Golf Mk1 part (McPherson suspension)
Make sure it includes holes to connect the sway bar.
The other parts you'll need shown here…

The bar and body mounts are the same, you need the early 944 outer mounts to the steel arms.
1986, I think, the 944 got aluminum arms and in 87 the changed them again to a higher offset.
You have to check the PET for part numbers to se what changed during the years and models and compare them to figure out what you need and what will fit together. _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

1985 and drop links doesn't compute in my book.
If your chassis has the old style sway bar that uses the drop links,
I wouldn't recommend switching to the 944 style (1982+)
It could damage the chassis when it is not put together decent. |

| The only drop links or sway bar links you'll have are connected to the rear sway bar. |

Not sure what they are, but you need a set of rear calipers that match them.
The ratio between the "front caliper piston area" and "rear caliper piston area" needs to stay roughly the same as stock.
Otherwise the brake bias will change and the brake performance will be worse (best case, worst case dangerous). _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

I don't think you need the 944 trailing arms, you just need the hubs and backing plate.
I know that the actual triling arm of the 924 and 931 are the same and the 931 and early 944 are also the same.
But its probably easier to find a complete trailing arm with hubs etc from a 944. _________________ /Magnus, Stockholm Sweden

Need to be careful here. The 4 bolt wheel uses a different front upright/spindle than the early 5 bolt wheel. I believe most 951 brakes fit the later 5 bolt upright that take the later strut. The 951 caliper probably won' t bolt to the early 5 bolt upright. Look in the performance modifications thread there is a fairly complete explanation of all the various brake combinations. The standard early 5 bolt setup on a 924 works amazingly well, it was designed for a 3400lb 928 then got put on a 2600lb 924. _________________ Mike
