My MC is leaking, and after a bit of research, I can't find an MC rebuild kit?

But I found this instead... first on a 911 forum, which lead to a VW forum...
the 80's audi 5000 uses a 23mm MC (and some reports of a version with a 25mm)

wonder if this option could work? (never mind the price, RockAuto has some for as low as $30, this listing just had the best pics)

Might need some hose rearanging but if it bolts up to the Booster?

you've the 23,81mm master cylinder?
Here is your kit https://www.rosepassion.com/en/92835591300-p23055-repair-kit-P23055

But first disassemble your MC before buying new parts. If the bore is worn, a new seal kit won't solve the problem.

no they are stepped

They only really have one pressure piston in them so their is no bias f/r for any 924/944 master.. Pressure/volume is equal..
The 2nd piston is just a floating piston to separate the 2 chambers, pressure is only applied by the main piston..

What IS stepped is the volume loss needed to operate in failsafe mode, where it splits the chambers so you still have 2 brakes if you loose pressure on the other pair.. It's the safety system in them that changes a little for different volume calipers they were intended to operate with..

The calipers on the 924 5 lug and early 944 are the same anyway, the only difference is X split vs F/R split..

Im not sure about that, searching for using 944MC on 924 says no.

If you switch to 944MC then you need to swap out all other braking components to 944 spec. Servo and more importantly the line routing to front/rear from diagonal. Or just buy a new 931 MC. When I did mine a new MC was circa £100 and rebuild kit was circa £80. Why rebuild??

The picture is wrong, but I entered 81 931 and it shows a price of $94 with a lifetime guarantee.
