First Post!
I've run into some hot start idle issues on my '82 924, and traced the hot, no idle condition back to the WUR. On disassembly to clean my screens, I found instead a strange copper/brass bung in the Fuel inlet! Has anyone seen this before?
Also, if anyone has a good suggestion for replacement screens I'd love a link.

In general in WUR there should be a strainer (not sure if that's correct word - not a native speaker). It usually corrodes and blocks the proper fuel flow. This copper things brings me to the idea it might be an aftermarket replacement for the factory strainer. Copper would not corrode IMHO. Anyway, I've been always removing the strainer in WURs and cars run fine without it for many years. _________________ ---

Thanks kondzi! If I put this back together without the bung, are there different values (than spec) that I should be expecting? _________________ Never not dreaming about mountain roads. |
