I just bled my coolant system after my reservoir crapped the bed.

Got a nice stream out of the bleeder. I bled it twice, letting the car cool down in between.

I noticed that my fans didn't come on at all. I cleaned the connections on the wires and on the switch. When I jump the wires together, the fan comes on when I turn on the ignition. So obviously the relay is good and wiring is good.

Should the fan have come on while bleeding, or did it not run long enough?

Also, when I jumped the wires only one fan came on (passenger side). I'm guessing there's another switch somewhere? I'm looking at the one at the top of the rad, on the driver side.

Well it’s working. I’m currently flushing the coolant, and lo and behold the fan cam on shortly after the the bleeder started sputtering.

Only the passenger side fan, though. For now.

Edit: once the fan came on, the bleeder stopped sputtering. I unplugged it and the bubbling started again, so I guess the fan is doing it’s job!

Yeah, reason Ozzie asked is that with factory AC the second fan is powered via the AC relays... so unfortunately they need to be working to get both fans on.

Of course, if you plan to remove the AC, you could jumper them...
