My next dumb question is. What are you all using for a thermostat/cooling flow restriction device? I using a 944T radiator and at this point don't have a cooling fan, I'll add one if it proves needed. _________________ Mike

We use a stock thermostat... one aftermarket rad fan - lighter, less restrictive at speed, and takes up less space in the engine bay - to help will cool-down, but not really enough to cool the car at low speed. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Thanks, I'll buy another new thermostat. I got a Glowshift 1-1/4 cooling tube adapter for the water sensor and it doesn't have a ground screw because they "apparently" had too much trouble getting readings with their powder coated adapters. I figure a 1/8"NPT tab and a tapped hole should take care of making the circuit. _________________ Mike

Yeah, that's one of the downsides to adding on stuff like that; I've had to do similar things with my prototype, tacking on tabs to add a ground circuit for temp senders added in the various plumbing tubes... _________________ Vaughan Scott

On my race car, I installed one of those double fans behind my 944T radiator wired to a switch on the dash for full power to both fans. I can idle all day on the grid, turn it off as I hit the track and back on for the cool down lap. I can then sit idling in impound waiting to be weighed and the temp gauge is below 1/4. _________________ 1979 924 NA race car H-Prod SCCA
