I think you need to buy a Haynes manual...lol

If you have the hood up and are standing at the front of the car looking at the motor the hose you need is coming out of a hole to your right just in front of the firewall. It goes to the canister that is tucked behind the antenae inside the drivers front fender well. There will be a black round plastic puck at the firewall with the hose coming in/going out and a small 4mm vacuum line that opens and closes the valve to let the vapour flow through that line and into the airbox when the motor is running.

If the car has been sitting the first thing to change is the filter. Even though the filter in Olive was relatively new when she was parked 10+ years prior I believe it was this that cooked the fuel pump and fuel pump relay. It just has to draw so much current trying to force fuel through a plugged filter that it cooks itself and fries the electrical system.

Even after driving it for 1,000 miles with tank after tank of Techron when I finally pulled it from the car the dark brown spittle looking shite that came out of it was horrendous. I honestly think there is no better investment than a $17 fuel filter.

As an aside, Techron is an OUTSTANDING product for cleaning the fuel system.

You did install the filter with the arrow pointing backwards, correct?

I pointed the filter with the arrow pointing forward towards the engine not the back of the car?
I had a long day and wife is getting mad I keep working on the car
So Monday I will test the pump and replace the relay or pump and go from there
I think I should drain the tank but it's almost full where do you dump that..

The arrow indicating flow direction on the filter should point to the rear of the car. As for the tank of fuel just go to Home Despot and buy a few 5 gallon pain for $4 each and used those to temporarily store the fuel from the car. If the gas is questionable then you will need to store it in fully sealed containers until you can manage to burn through it with your lawnmower.

Shop vacs and gasoline vapors could cause an explosion.

So relay and pump are on order I'm going to buy new injectors and I have a cleaned cis from a working parts car coming my why so get this going
She tries start for half a second and that's it

Pump, relay showed up same with a work cis
System
I ordered injectors
Think I should install it and try or wait for the injectors

I have below the back of the engine what looks like a o2 sensor in the muffler system
There is a wife now about 10inch long off of it
I can not see where it broke from
Does anyone know where the wire.starts in the engine bay and I will find it and follow it down
Thanks again
Mike
