When I had rust in the tank and car wasnt runningwell[when i first bought it] I convinced my self the beam was to dirty and took it all apart problem was I couldnt get it back together I had to get a whole new top picked one up for free though. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Just wanted to say thanks for the help guys....everything seems much better now. While tuning all the air and fuel settings i realized that my timing was quite a bit off too. Unfortunately I spent a good hour adjusting everything before I realized this....then had to do it all over again. I was double cheching my specs on timing in my shop manuals and realized that the specs i looked at last time i set it were for a NA...not a turbo. Boy did I feel dumb. All those headaches because of timing.. oh well. It seems to run good now so im off to find the few remaming things i need....a slave cylinder and a motor mount....and then i should be good to go!

Hello every 1.Im installing a wide band o2 sensor. What is the correct mix. If I remember its around 13. something, can someone answer this. Motor is non turboed for now stock cp, port and polished head, after market cam, and a header. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

On a fully warmed up motor, you should set mixture so that the wideband AFR shows steady 14.7 at idle. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

and about 12,5-12,7 on full load, should be a good start for maximum power. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

Yep that's good on a NA. Read that Joe is talking about an NA here but don't try on your 931, will ya Joe?
Personally run a flat 12 AFR at 200KPa right up to 7K but took it slow and cautions tuning to that level with EFI and constant datalogging. That is somewhere within a few % of maximum power and I'm not racing nor have the balls / pistons to try get nearer 12.5. I doubt anyone could get anywhere near even 12 AFR @ WOT under boost with CIS?
This chart is an excellent general tuning reference.
