Is the bolt on the crank pulley by chance a left hand thread? _________________ Mike

Thanks, got two pistons out so I will use a block of wood to lock the crank and go after it. _________________ Mike

Whenever I needed help with that, I'd drive to a local farmer, and borrow his 3/4 inch air wrench. Spun those babies off like nothing. Better than wedging something in the engine if you can find one of these to rent or borrow. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

If desperate you can put a very long spanner on the nut and wedged against the chassis, disconnect coil to prevent starting and hit the starter briefly.
be aware- spanners are heavy and can fly. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

It eventually came off with my 1/2" DeWalt electric impact wrench. _________________ Mike
