|
|
I recently leapt into action, to disconnect the battery because of an electrical 'sizzle' sound coming from the Fusebox area.
It happens every few seconds, and last a second or so....and it sounds like something shorting. The kind of sizzle sound that might happen before something sets on FIRE!
I don't wanna end up in flames. Is there a better way or safe procedure that I could follow to try and find out what this could be?
I took the fusebox down and looked around but can't pinpoint it.
What if I remove all the relays and put them back in one at a time?
Any help greatly appreciated before I am Frying tonight!

Take everything off, put back one at a time sounds good.
Have a fire extinguisher ready.

Oooh close buddy,
It was the rear hatch defogger!
Also thanks for prompting me on the fire extinguishers. The electrical ones I keep in the car stopped working when I tested them, as they are years old, so will be buying some new ones today.
The cheap ones on Ebay look unreliable, do you know a good brand Morghen? _________________ *****1981 - 924 - Auto - London, UK****** |
