Hey,
Just a quick question because i'm kinda stuck:
On my 924 NA (1980) both turn indicators are working properly,
When i switch on the emergency flasher, only the dashboard indicator is lighting up. Nothing outside but you can hear the relay clicking very fast.
At first i thought it was just a bad relay but i already replaced it and it's not...
What would be the most probable cause? Or what to check next? Because 90% of electricty is magic for me
Thanks! |

The emergency flasher switch (in the center of the dashboard) is a big component in the electric schema of the 924.
Make sure that one is working fine.
Becuase the turning signals and the emergency signals are completely different flows in the schema. _________________ 911SC - 1980 |

Hi Steven,
Have you seen the emergency flashers working at any one time while you had the car? If so, have you worked on the fuse panel before they stopped working? I had a similar issue at one time - turned out I had one of the multipin plugs at the back of the fuse panel upside down.
I pulled it, turned it 180 degrees and problem solved.
As the emergency flashers are hot ( they work even with ignition off ) whereas the signals need switched power, I would look for voltage supply to the flasher/signal lamps which may not be as it should.
Let us know how things go.
Good luck,
