Just thought I would share how I replaced the black seal that goes around the lock on my 1988 924S. First remove old seal [it is probably split in three different places now and will fall apart if you tug on it.

Next, spray some WD-40 in the area and squeeze the bottom section in first using your thumb and forefinger, then use an ice cream stick or something blunt to squeeze the top section in. Done. No need to loosen the bolts holding the lock inside the trunk. Looks much better now.
