Hey all – I am finally deep into the restoration of my 1980 924. The goal is to get this chopped up mess back to stock in as many ways as possible. Crazy, I know – but you cant choose who you fall in love with. Anyhow, I need some help with the headlight assembly. Over the past few years, I’ve purchased bits and parts, and I think I have the “majority” of what I need, but I know I am missing some stuff. Also, the area and brackets where the headlights sit was chopped up to convert them (which was done very poorly). Here is what I need help with.
1. A really detailed assembly diagram for putting this back to stock
2. Clear reference photos of the headlight area that show what it should look like (stock), how the headlight motors are mounted and as much detail as possible
3. A good source for the mounting hardware and bits – I’ve been striking out at Pelican, AA and Ecklers
Any help is really appreciated! _________________ Bucket list check off...1980 Porsche 924. Great shape, but restoring it is going to be fun! |
