We have seen the ac compressor leaking with dye - more than one place.
So...I am looking for a reliable rebuilder to ship a quality compressor.
Any suggesting? _________________ Mark

Their a bit high priced. Are thy worth $300 more than others? They only offer a 1 year warranty.
I need to understand the value, if it is there. _________________ Mark

Actually they are the 'correct' price, because they are selling quality parts made to a higher standard. The value is that my mechanic never once had to redo the job again because the compressor failed. To him that is the most important thing. I tend to agree.
On the other hand, if you take a chance with a part that is much less expensive, with a higher failure rate- then you will most likely have to do the job two or three times until you get it right.
They are in the a/c business and specialize in what they do and sell parts built to a higher standard than the crap at Autozone.
You can try a less expensive part and see how that works out [it might work out great- you never know]. However, if it doesn't then give these guys a try. _________________ MOD
