So my new to me 924S has a cracked oil pan.

By the looks of it this won't be a simple drop the pan and replace. It has a low profile but I am doubting I will have enough sump clearance and will have to remove suspension, power steering lines and cross member

So are there any how to's out there?
Anyone experienced in this care to elaborate?

Suspend the motor from a sling and drop the crossmember. Last time I did this (air tools and lift) it went very quickly.

So with that said, I don't have a lift, but I could probably borrow a engine lift. would that be possible? Jack up the car put it on stands and use the engine hoist to suspend the engine?

Yes. You can also use a transverse engine support bar (you might be able to borrow or rent one). I made mine. It keeps the underside of the car clear. Those damn engine crane feet tend to get in the way & make it uncomfortable.
