Anyone have any information about factory option code 734 and 735? Options are in German on the US car print out sheet from Porsche US. Translation is Development Engine and Development Transmission. No info available from several try's to Porsche US. Also contacted a shop that has been importing Porsche race cars since the '70's and they can not get any information either.
After quite a bit of research I have found only two other Porsches with this code, and both are European cars. One is a 944 Turbo, and one is 911 Turbo and both appear to be development cars, one is documented development car.
I was given a lead to the Historic department for Porsche in Germany, but no response, so wondering if any one else has any info on this trivia as I am running out of ideas to try to gather info? Thanks Tim |

| Thank you for link. I had found those codes and have on the print out of the cars options list, just can not find anyone at Porsche that knows what those codes mean or what the history is. They exist but seem to be on only a couple of cars that escaped the factory somehow. |
