|
|
Hello all,
so due to various reasons, here's my current situation with my '78 924 N/A--
All A/C components removed
Alternator is off-- have one of the sexy 150A ones from Quality Power ready for install
I've read a number of people have moved the alternator to where the A/C system is / where the 931 has it located. As I've already got it off and the A/C removed, it seems to make sense to do the same... does that position conflict with the CIS system though? Will I need to source a 931 bracket for mounting, or will it fit up (with maybe a few fabbed brackets) to the mount the AC was on?
Thanks! |

get the 931 mounting bracket, IIRC there should be no issue with the CIS but the thermostat outlet on the 931 points forward not to the side...
pity it's not an easy job relocating the starter....
