This is an embarrassing question, but how do you tow a 924S? _________________ Michael Simms

Flat tow?
Tow Dolly?
Trailer?
Generally you just put it neutral and depending on how its going to be towed you'd disconnect the battery and turn the key to unlock the column. On some of the later 944's they had screw-in tow hooks for the nose, while the earlier 924's had hooks on the right side of the radiator opening.
There should be trailer hooks in the front and the rear near the frame rails or the bumpers. _________________ Stefan

It first needs to be towed with a chain and another car, then it will be flat-bedded on a flat truck to a shop.
Where would the flat bed truck hook up to tow? _________________ Michael Simms

Depends on what he has to tie it down. To the tow hooks if it has them, through the wheels (with protection) if he has straps & no tie downs. If by tow truck, he should know how.
Definitely not by the tie rods, body pieces or axles. |

The last time I had to have my 31 towed, we only had to go a short distance (as in the 2 miles or less I couldn't make it home- grrrrr). The front we attached to the towhook with some microfiber, and the back did the same with a strap in the bumper mount hole (it was a short run).
But as previously mentioned, the driver should know just how to hook it up. However, if you care about your paint as I do, bring some rags along. The driver will surely respect your interest in being a part of the hook up and protection of your ride. (That;s the experience I've had).
